In order to provide assistance to as many persons as possible, and with our goal of trying to be part of the solution, client access to Green Harvest services is limited to six months. Green Harvest provides short term assistance to individuals and families who find themselves needing some extra help to “bridge the gap” until they can get back on their feet and/or line up longer-term assistance through state and federal agencies. We provide service to families which have recently been faced with a life changing turn of events such as house fire, job loss, major illness, or death of a wage earner as just a few examples. Many times these families are initially overwhelmed to find themselves in this situation and do not know where to turn for assistance. Any government assistance they may be eligible for will take time to apply for and ultimately receive. The six months of food assistance from Green Harvest helps “bridge” this gap allowing families to “take a breath” and establish longer term assistance and prayerfully in many cases not ever need long term assistance.
We must rotate clients off the program after six months to afford others, who are just now facing that life altering situation for the first time, an opportunity to receive some “bridge the gap” assistance so they can “take a breath”. If we do not do this we will quickly become a private shopping service to a few long term clients and not be available to assist any new families who through unfortunate circumstances now meet our original charter. These newly burdened families would find themselves on a non moving waiting list for assistance, at the most critical time for them, when their world just drastically changed.
Former clients are eligible to re-apply for assistance if they have another new hardship challenge in their life such as loss of a new job. This policy allows us to provide short term assistance to the largest number of persons in the largest geographic region possible.
Green Harvest has the right to end this program at anytime. Please remember you may receive only one food donation per 30 days per address.

We provide food and personal hygiene product through a program called "Clients Choice". Clients can use the pantry one time each month and they usually receive 7 days worth of food.
